Flat panel TVs have become very popular over the past several years. While popular, there has been a limitation with the current technology when it comes to 3D. That limitation increasingly appears to be a thing of the past.
I recently came across the next generation LCD manufactured by a company called Magnetic in conjunction with NEC. The unit is a 57-inch 3D display called Enabl3D.™
Magnetic’s 3D displays are specially engineered industrial grade LCD’s that provide audiences with an extra comfortable viewing experience in crystal clear high-definition 3D without the glasses or use of any special eyewear. The company says that unlike competitor 3D displays, its 3D Displays solution provides both an intense off-screen “POP” and the ability to play 2D video with virtually no loss in resolution.
I don’t see Magnetic’s 57-inch LCD setting sales records anytime soon, but I do believe that we will see more and more LCDs capable of providing high-definition 3D viewing in the months ahead.
